Here at our Worcester bridal boutique, we meet such a variety of brides… younger brides, more mature brides, brides planning intimate destination weddings, and brides planning huge affairs with invite lists reaching into the hundreds. Each and every bride we see has a completely unique bridal style and image of their perfect wedding day – and that is why we love our job. Whether you pick a really popular wedding dress off the peg, or a more bespoke dress altered to your exact ideas, two brides wearing the same dress will never wear it the same way.

It is with this in mind, that we were inspired to put together an inspirational blog post, with ideas on how we would style a couple of our brand new wedding dresses from the 2019 collections we have here at Gatehouse Brides.

Chic City Wedding

Rita Mae – Montreal

First up we have the stunning Montreal from Rita Mae. Being a short wedding dress, this gown already makes a statement and there are so many ways you could style this to suit your wedding venue and bridal style. We love the idea of this for a chic, city wedding with pops of dramatic colour. Take a look at our inspirations below.

Statement Bridal Shoes

The length of this beautiful dress is just crying out to be paired with a statement shoe. And with our range of dyeable Perfect Bridal Shoes you can choose from 45 colours to match your scheme perfectly.

Small Structural Bouquet

For our chic, city wedding featuring Montreal, we would choose a small, structural bouquet that packs an incredible punch despite its small stature. Introducing architectural greenery with a handful of dramatic blooms will ensure your bridal bouquet is being talked about for years to come.

Minimal Accessories

With all the drama of the outfit, we would go lighter on the accessories.  We’d suggest going for a simple and understated hair slide over the more prominent tiara or headband, and keep jewellery to a minimum. Let the dress do the talking!

Ethereal Fairytale Wedding

White One – Ocarina

Next up we’re featuring the sensational Ocarina from White One. The tulle skirt of dreams and delicate spaghetti straps lend themselves beautifully to an ethereal fairytale wedding. Again, there are a thousand ways we could style this dress but for this feature we’re going with outdoor, rustic, romance.

Boho Bouquets

For our ethereal fairytale wedding, we’d be looking for boho bouquets, filled with loose, in season blooms and trailing greenery. Colours can be worked to suit the scheme, but the key is achieving the seasonal, natural feel of a bunch gathered from a woodland walk. The introduction of ribbons or feathers could enhance the look even further.

Undone Bridal Hair

The more undone looking the better! Think loose plaits intertwined with hair vines… or loose and gently curled topped with a flower crown fit for a fairy princess.

Natural Bridal Makeup

To finish this look off, we would advise going for a natural, neutral hues with your makeup. Focusing on dewy skin, using highlighter to lift the cheekbones and accentuating the eyes with bronze or blush tones and a brown rather than black mascara.
