We have some great news! It seems such a long time since we saw you all and we have so missed seeing all our beautiful brides. So we are over the moon to announce we are reopening our doors for COVID secure wedding dress shopping on Monday 15th June 2020!
However, we will be re-opening in a new world and have had to make some adjustments to our appointments to ensure that we keep you, our staff and all of our families safe. We wanted to put this post together to outline those changes to avoid any uncertainty and allay any concerns you may have about your upcoming appointment with us.
We would also like to assure you that despite these necessary changes, you will still receive the same very warm Gatehouse Brides welcome you would have if visiting previously (just without the hugs), and the wonderful boutique experience you deserve when shopping for your dress.
COVID Secure Bridal Shopping
Here at Gatehouse Brides we give you complete exclusivity of our bridal shop so you can feel at home and enjoy the whole experience. Due to the government guidelines we all now have to follow to allow us to reopen, we’ve had to rearrange our appointment slots to allow time between to deep clean the shop and dresses. This means that there are fewer appointments available each day. To ensure that we don’t disappoint anyone due to the high demand for these appointments, there will be a small charge of £20 for ALL appointments. We will of course deduct this amount from your order when you find your dress here at Gatehouse Brides. Alternatively if you are not able to find your dress here at GHB, we will give you a £20 voucher towards accessories or bridesmaids dresses.

Polite Requests
To enable us to adhere to the governments guidelines we will have to make some changes to how we conduct our appointments going forward. We will provide you with full details when we confirm your appointment. However, this will include:
- Handwashing and hand sanitiser
- Wearing of face masks – we do ask that you please bring your own, but if you don’t have anything or forget, we can supply disposable ones
- Only 2 x guests plus bride for an appointment
- Strictly no children – this is to ensure we can comply with social distancing
- GHB team will select a range of wedding dresses for you to try on following our previous consultation and discussions
- Social distancing between staff, bride and guest where possible.
Pre-appointment Consultation
Once you have booked your appointment with us, we will contact you directly to carry out an initial consultation over the telephone or via video call so we can prepare for your appointment, get to know you and hear all about your wedding plans. This will help us to pick out beautiful dresses that will compliment you and your style of wedding.
We know how important it is to include family and friends when choosing your wedding dress. We will support you to ensure that all those you wish to invite are joined together virtually to support you in your decisions.

Please be assured that behind our masks we will still be smiling, as supportive as always and ready and willing to lend a hand and advise for finding your dream wedding dress.
