Our sole mission at Gatehouse Brides is to make sure every bride comes away from her time with us feeling beautiful, confident and above all – like she has had a wonderful bridal shop experience.
From the moment you enter our doors, we want you to feel relaxed and taken care of. We allow each bride the exclusive use of the boutique – you are not rushed, sold to or made to feel uncomfortable. Our generous appointment times give us the opportunity to discover your wish list of wedding dress styles and make suitable suggestions based on our expert knowledge and our keen eye for spotting the dress to wow you unexpectedly.
So whether you’re a classic bride looking for an elegant mikado satin dress, or a modern bride favouring a mermaid style with an unusual back, our consultation at the beginning of your appointment will help us identify the styles you love as well as styles we think would compliment you perfectly. You will find your appointment whizzes by, in a whirl of chiffon, lace and laughs.
We have a range of appointments available, helping us to tailor your bridal shop experience and ensure those that want an extra level of luxury really do feel like a V.I.P. Our appointment menu will help you to discover your perfect Gatehouse Brides experience.
Your wedding dress shopping experience should be reserved for those who you hold closest to your heart. To get the most from your time with us we recommend being selective when choosing who you wish to share your experience with. We are a fairly small boutique housing many beautiful dresses and even though we offer exclusive use, space is limited. We also find most brides enjoy their time far more when it is only the opinions of her nearest and dearest she hears.
To ensure that you get a true vision of each gown you try on we recommend that you wear nude seamless underwear. We also kindly request that makeup be applied lightly for your appointment and no fake tan or excessive perfume is worn. This helps us to maintain all of our wedding dresses in exquisite condition, ready for each bride to enjoy.

Gatehouse History and Ethos
Gatehouse Brides was established in 1988 and has dressed over 8,000 brides during the past 30+ years.
The prominent position of our bridal boutique on Barbourne Road in Worcester, means that many of our brides pass our door on their day to day journeys in and out of town, long before they find themselves in the market for wedding dresses. Little girls gazing dreamily into the window, then returning as newly engaged brides-to-be – with all the excitement that comes with planning the perfect wedding – to finally try on the dress they’ve always dreamed of. Pure romance. That’s why we love our job!
As much as we love the relationship with our loyal, local brides, we also get excited by the new faces we see from a little further afield. Plans for wedding venues that we may not have seen or heard of before. Educating us on other incredible wedding suppliers that may be useful contacts for our future brides to be.
