Our generous appointment times allow us to explore your wish list, understand the styles you’re drawn to, and use our expert eye to suggest gowns that may surprise and delight you.
Whether you’re dreaming of a timeless mikado satin gown or envisioning a modern mermaid silhouette with a statement back, your consultation at the start of your appointment helps us identify the designs you love; as well as those we know will complement you beautifully. Before you know it, your time with us will have flown by in a joyful whirl of chiffon, lace, and laughter.

Your wedding dress appointment is a special moment, best shared with those closest to your heart. To make the most of your time with us, we recommend choosing your guests thoughtfully. As a small boutique with many beautiful gowns, space is limited; and we find brides enjoy their appointment far more when surrounded only by their nearest and dearest.
To help you see each gown at its very best, we recommend wearing nude seamless underwear. We also kindly ask that makeup is applied lightly and that no fake tan or strong perfume is worn. This helps us keep every dress in immaculate condition for all brides to enjoy.

Gatehouse History and Ethos
Gatehouse Brides was established in 1988 and has dressed over 8,000 brides during the past 30+ years.
The prominent position of our bridal boutique on Barbourne Road in Worcester, means that many of our brides pass our door on their day to day journeys in and out of town, long before they find themselves in the market for wedding dresses. Little girls gazing dreamily into the window, then returning as newly engaged brides-to-be – with all the excitement that comes with planning the perfect wedding – to finally try on the dress they’ve always dreamed of. Pure romance. That’s why we love our job!
As much as we love the relationship with our loyal, local brides, we also get excited by the new faces we see from a little further afield. Plans for wedding venues that we may not have seen or heard of before. Educating us on other incredible wedding suppliers that may be useful contacts for our future brides to be.
