London Bridal Week & White Gallery are huge events in the bridal wear industry. This is where new collections are launched, new wedding dress designers are exhibited and new bridal trends are set for the coming seasons. Myself and Hannah were very excited for our planned visit to London to see the shows, meet up with some of our current designers, check out some new ones and of course soak up everything bridal for a whole weekend.
Sunday 25th March, myself and Hannah boarded a London bound train full of the joys of Spring (despite the weather!) and couldn’t wait to see what was on offer for our Gatehouse Brides 2018/2019 wedding dress collections.
It has to be said that our trip was extremely successful and we cannot wait to share with you some of the new wedding gowns we have put on order with some of our favourite suppliers. We also managed to identify some incredible designers yet to be introduced to our Gatehouse brides. We are currently in the process of negotiating with two in particular so keep your eyes peeled for more on them shortly!
We have brand new wedding dresses on order from the MiaMia and Rita Mae ranges from Alan Hannah, and we have also ordered a whole new collection from White One. These dresses will start arriving in July so again, make sure to check back in with the blog to find out more on those in the next couple of months.
One particular highlight from the trip was attending the Alan Hannah catwalk event, which was fantastic. There was a real autumnal feel to the show featuring lots of gold and feathers, it was very inspiring.
We also saw the new bridal shoe collection from Di Hassall – one of the fabulous bridal shoe designers we stock here in our Worcester bridal boutique. The new collection features an array of beautiful new colours and appliqués, we can’t wait to get some in the boutique.
London Bridal Week and White Gallery was quite simply fantastic for us this year. Our minds are full of inspiration although our feet are threatening to go on strike from exhaustion!
To finish off, I’ll leave you with some of the key bridal trends that are huge for the upcoming season: There was a real boho feel running through the majority of the new collections and there was lots of colour – in particular blush and champagne tones. Definitely something to think about if you’re off out wedding dress shopping in the next few months!
