Hi! My name is Em, and I am a Bridal Consultant here at Gatehouse Brides. I also manage the Social Media accounts posting Stories, Reels, and Grid Posts. I am a very creative person; I love getting stuck in and hands-on.

A little bit about me… I love spending time with my family, they are so important to me, and I would be at a complete loss without them. I absolutely love shopping for anything and everything; clothes, homeware, makeup, skincare…the list is endless! I love having beauty treatments, but my top favourite will always be my gel nails…there will never be a time I don’t have beautiful nails done by my lovely nail lady! Ladies, she is amazing so next time you are in our bridal shop and you want nail perfection on your wedding day please just ask for her details! Anyway what else, about me, oh, my favourite animal is 100% cats – I have a gorgeous black and white tomcat called Leo who is just adorable. Autumn is my favourite season, and I love to spend my free time with my partner watching films, getting takeaways, having a pamper session, and cosying up with my duvet, as well as designing and sewing!

My greatest passion in life is designing fashion garments. Currently, I am designing a Bridal Collection which will be my very first Bridal Fashion venture. Designing and making Wedding Dresses is my dream; I love all the materials and fabrics combined with the structuring and shaping which creates beautifully elegant dresses for gorgeous Brides on their big day.

My dream Wedding Dress to design and make would be made from Crepe material; a very stretchy, quite heavyweight in some cases, ivory soft fabric which is commonly used in fitted styles. It shapes the body beautifully and has such an elegant drape to it – I just love Crepe! The dress would have Crepe fabric-covered button detailing from the top of the center back all the way down to the end of the train, with a handful of pearl buttons carefully sewn into the line of detailing. There is something so elegant and timeless about those button details. With a low cowl style back, the dress would shape modestly over the derriere, adding that touch of sexy to really show off that figure! The dress would feature a very dreamy, thick waistband sitting quite high on the bodice, paired on the front with a v-neck bodice, not too low, but enough to open up that chest and neck to allow for a beautiful small pearl necklace. I would accessorise with an ivory soft tulle covered in pearls made into a veil the length of the dress right to the edge of the train, secured onto a comb with a beautiful bow made of the same material, sitting elegantly in an up-do with Gypsophila fed through the hair, paired with a bouquet made entirely from those beautiful Gypsophila. Add a small pair of pearl drop earrings and a delicate pearl bracelet, and my dream wedding look is complete!

To design and make my own Bridal Collection would be a dream come true. From a little girl, I have dreamt of the day I will marry and wear my own wedding dress, or two! Becoming a designer has meant I will be able to design and make wedding dresses for so many gorgeous Brides, and hopefully my own one day too!

In all seriousness, my passion for wedding dresses and making every Bride look stunning and sexy in her own way for her big day is what inspires and motivates me each and every day. I am doing what I love, at the most magical Bridal Shop, I have dreamt of working at ever since I can remember. Passing the shop at the traffic lights, hoping that the lights will turn red so I can get even just a glimpse of the beautiful dresses in the window, and now I am the one putting those dresses in their place! WOW! Little Em would never have believed this would happen, and here we are! My future at Gatehouse Brides is looking so exciting and everything I ever dreamed of, all thanks to our wonderful main lady, Julie.
